AI Disclosure
Shurman Media articles are researched and drafted with artificial intelligence, verified by automated checks against their sources, and overseen by a human editor. We say this plainly because you deserve to know how what you read was made.
What the AI does
A research model searches current coverage and proposes stories. A writing model drafts an original article from the sources it finds. A checking model reads every cited page and confirms it supports the claim it is attached to. A separate image model generates a symbolic illustration for each story.
What the AI does not do
It does not copy text from other publications. It does not publish anything a machine check has doubted. It does not decide the publication’s point of view, its sections, or which sources are preferred or refused. Those are set by the editor and written down in our Editorial Policy.
What the human does
The editor sets the standing instructions, reviews every article the checks hold back, approves or discards it, reads the daily summary of what ran, and answers for the result. Anything held for review that no human reads within two days is discarded rather than published.
Bylines
Articles carry the byline Shurman Media Desk. That is the name of the process described above, not a person. The publication is owned by Mike Shurman of 2Tech Computing Inc.
